The quality of the fabric of a Panama Hat directly influences its price, which means that while the weave of the hat is finer, its quality is higher and therefore its price. We find Panama Hats ranging from grade 0 to grade 38. The finer the straw and the tighter the weave, the more meshes per centimeter and the hat will be of higher quality. Certain models may require more than a year of work and be worth thousands of dollars.
